    1. This is her favorite spot. It’s the window sill itself that is that big. Apartment buildings like ours are very common in Europe. The windowsill is as thick as it is, because the walls themselves are so thick. These buildings have massive walls and I guess it’s one of the reasons why they are still standing strong after 100s of years lol! Our building and many of the others around here are from the 1600s. Of course they are renovated and everything, but the walls are the same. These window sills are just perfect for cats 😸

  1. Glad you are feeling so much better Natascha and I do hope that you had a good night’s sleep last night with Murli.
Is getting a lot warmer in the evenings here in southern Spain, less blankets on the bed, cats not clambering under the covers any more but flopped out all over the bed. I can’t move ! Oh boy !
Take care my friend. Ralph <3

    1. Sorry for being so incredibly late again with my reply. This time it’s just my forgetfulness & being distracted by busy days lol. I am so sorry! Sigh.

Thankfully, I still feel good! Except for 2 migraines, (one yesterday, the other in the week before) I didn’t get into a new migraine heavy phase. Sometimes I’m lucky and have a couple of weeks without daily migraines. We sleep well too! But since yesterday, it’s getting hot. Not as hot as it will be later in the summer, but 30Β°C hot. The humidity isn’t too high, which is always nice. Murli hangs out on the cool floor, and the windows that have shade are open, so we have a breeze coming through.

I can just imagine… Must be really warm in southern Spain. It’s similar here… I’m simply using a thin sheet for a blanket. Anything more, and I can’t sleep. Murli loves to sleep on the bed next to me, but she feels to warm. So she jumps into bed with me when we go to sleep, stays for a while and then goes to sleep on the floor. But she comes back again, until she feels too warm. It seems like she really really wants to sleep next to me, but it’s a bit too warm for her. Maybe I need to sleep on the floor with her lolπŸ˜‚πŸ˜Ή She’d be happy for sure!
Haha, right! Cats are all stretched out in full length, and require much more space, since they’re not curled up tightly, or cuddled up to each other, or you.

You take care as well! Hope you and the cats have a lovely evening!
      Hugs! NataschaπŸ’•

      1. Hello Natascha :)
I am also very sorry for taking so long in replying. My wonderful new neighbours have had the builders banging on the concrete walls all day from 8 to 8. It was awful. Anyway, nice and quiet now. I have Sonic on my lap and he is purring really loudly. He usually stays on my lap for about 10 minutes, then jumps down and finds a basket to curl up in. As I typed that he jumped down ! :)
Anyway, thank you so much for your very long and interesting reply. I agree, the cats love to curl up next to you, but get hot and they are backwards and forwards all night. Well, both my cats are ! I am sure they think that my bed is a play park or a trampoline most nights.
Take care of yourself my friend and, of course, not forgetting Murli.
        Hugs. Ralph xx

        1. Good morning Ralph & beautiful cats!
Awww! The neighbors can be such a source of noise lol! We had a big construction site in the street that’s on one side of the apartment. They were completely redoing the pavement, which was really necessary btw. I appreciate that they started with this as early as they did, because now that it’s getting hot, they’re done. Otherwise it would have been quite loud at times and you’d be unable to leave the windows open during the day. So glad it’s quiet again for you!
How did Samantha and Sonic react to the builders noise at the neighbors? Hope they weren’t too scared in the beginning.

Also, no need to be sorry, for real!πŸ˜½πŸ˜˜πŸ’• Because I feel so bad about not replying in time, and take often way way longer than you (or anyone else πŸ™ˆ)
I realize that I might need to plan things out a bit to get everything caught up on my beloved bloggie here, my instagram, twitter and facebook. Especially the instagram and twitter have a huge number of friends too. So when I have the time, I sit down and start from one end, chatting having fun here, having fun there and suddenly it’s like 10pm, with Murli asleep on my desk πŸ˜†πŸ˜Έ She’s involved in all of that too, since I’m constantly interacting with her throughout the day, play around with her where I sit, or I get up and play around with her for at least 30 minutes. So that’s how it usually goes from 4pm on, which is when I have all the time for fun, because I have taken care of everything else. But now in the weekends, there’s lots more time for all the fun. So that was the usual rambling part of my comment…

That is soooo cute with Sonic getting down from you lap right at the moment you mentioned it! πŸ˜ΉπŸ˜‚ Haha, that’s so true! Murli is up and down from bed now all night, since she just feels too warm after a while. As soon as I have the new screen on my window, I’ll be leaving it open all night, and that will make her feel a lot more comfy, and me too (without mosquitos). MOL, I tried those big nets that protect from insects, that you hang over your bed… It did take about 2 days, and then it had so many holes in it from Murli playing with it, that it was more or less uselessπŸ˜ΉπŸ˜‚ I still made use out of it though. For smaller things. MOL!

Hehe, going on to the next comment now. Take care of yourself too pawsome friend! And lots of pawhugs and kitty kisses from Murli to Samantha and Sonic!
          Big hugs from me, NataschaπŸ’•

PS: As I always tell my friends… no need to reply to all of that Lol! I’m just as talkative as Murli. Just so you know, because I seem unable to keep it shortπŸ˜ΈπŸ™ˆ

          1. Wow, wow, wow ! You have written a book here Natascha ! How wonderful. Thank you so much dear friend. I really don’t know whether I can match this :)
lol. I can imagine Murli having a whale of a time destroying your mosquito net. I never even knew that Graz had a mosquito problem. Poor you ! I suppose I am lucky, living by a river, that we have no mosquitoes at all. Flies, yes !
Don’t worry about shortening your comments as I do love to read them.
            Big hug. Ralph xx <3

          2. πŸ˜†πŸ˜ΈπŸ™ˆ hahaha!!! Oh ma goodness, I just saw how long my comment was in its full glory on my blog! LOL! All my poor friends constantly get these long comments from me. Murli and I are really similar in that we are talking all the time. But we’re good listeners too. I do shut up when someone else is talking and listen to them intently.

I’m so glad you’re ok with my comments! Hehe, you don’t need to match them lol. Although you’re free to leave as many mile long comments as you wish, It’s totally fine the way you write. I absolutely enjoy your comments and your way of writing in general anyway.

Yeah, the mosquitos are a bit smaller than the ones they have in the US and we don’t have the kind they have in Africa, but they’re annoying like you would not believe. Although this summer could be a lot better, because we had a long and harsh winter this year. The previous years, the mosquitos that were hiding over the winter largely survived, and therefore we had so many of them bugging everyone.
The adorable bats flying around at night, as well as all the birds are a huge help though. And with the winter having been freezing cold, they might be able hold the numbers of mosquitos down considerably. The mosquito net on the windows help wonderfully though. I’d be going crazy otherwise, because for some reason they really like me. Or rather my blood. Ugh… I’m mostly worried that they bug Murli though, but it seems they don’t really do anything to her. She loves to hunt them though.
Ugh… Flies! Murli and I hunt them down right away lol.
But we don’t have many flies. I guess living a couple floors up helps a bit regarding insects.

How lovely! We live next to the river too!
Sigh… and there is another rambling comment of mine. It’s getting late again lol. Thankfully tomorrow will be another lazy day (public holiday) with lots of time for us to catch up on things online.
Take care my friend! Murli and I wish you and the cats a lovely evening and a good nightπŸ˜½πŸ˜˜πŸ’•

          3. Hello dear Natasha :)
I think this is the last comment to reply to and, boy, is it a long one ! lol. I don’t mind really because as I said before, I love to read what you have to say and you are really a good writer. Easy to read :)
I am so pleased that you enjoy my comments and that you are willing to write quite openly with your relationship with Murli and what’s going on around you. I like writing to you too.
Same here, I can see tiny bats zipping around as the sun sets. During the day there are many types of small birds, but at the moment it’s all house sparrows and swallows. They are everywhere !
Anyway, I have your email to reply to now and I can expand a little more freely in there.
Thank you and do have a lovely early morning yourself dear friend.
            Hugs. Ralph xox <3
